Today was the first day of school for RCS, where the girls go to school. After weeks of camp they are finally back to the books. They were both very cooperative and excited although befuddled by my insistence that we be so organized and ready. They are both very used to a mom who frequently walks out to the bus wearing her housecoat and slippers, not one that is leaving the house before they do. Which means after wake up kisses, they need their breakfast, and clothes on, and no dawdling. They did so well with it that we actually had time to take pictures before I left despite the fact that I overslept (up at 6:35 instead of 6:00 but I still left the house by 7:10 am).
Their bus dropped them off about 10 after 4 in the afternoon, and I was happy to see they were both cheerful and happy, even though their bus was late (thankfully only by 10 minutes not the half-hour it was last year).
Tomorrow is another day...and hopefully a good one.
