I was feeling crabby and sort of down this evening. For no good reason really. I have a really productive day:
- 6:30 am Awake, unloaded the dishwasher.
- 6:49 am Woke the girls, fed them breakfast, got them on the bus.
- 7:45 am 35 minutes on the Elliptical trainer going an average of 4.5 mph. Worked up a good sweat. It felt good to sweat.
- 9:37-10:37 am Helped Chris at church with his wonky computer.
- Finished Zee's Lounge Pillow. She loves it. Only a couple mistakes which will be easy to fix if she ever gives me a chance.
- Exchange emails with classmate for our first class assignment, start researching.
- Put away nearly all the remaining Christmas decorations...I only have the garlands up yet.
- Played with Zee.
- 3:45 pm Made sure Aay got a good snack before Piano.
- 4:00 pm Remembered to pay to her Piano teacher.
- Worked on syncing my calender and worked on homework while Aay was at Piano class.
- Came home and made a predictable but good dinner.
- Remembered to prepare the art and publish Chris's column.
- Did the girls bedroom routine, including reading the Where's Waldo Book? that Zee picked. (She loves those books, so I get them for her to look at but I hate reading them as bedtime reading....so tedious...)
- 8:30 pm Everyone in bed at decent time
Then right about here I got tired and cranky. And not long after Chris came home with ugh news and then we realized that I had published a earlier draft of his column, so I had to pull them back, rework them and publish it again.
He was really nice to me though, even when I was snappy and cranky about having published the wrong thing. Afterwards we went downstairs and watched a episode of Leverage and really enjoyed it. Still feeling ugh however I went upstairs, and logged on to do some reading before going to bed, and then I read a really nice post by one of my friends and you know what it reminded me that even when I get tired and cranky, and down for no good reason, there are still things that can break thru my cranky and make me smile.
Interesting that I was feeling as if I have been spinning my wheels and getting nowhere yesterday and today. Then I read your blog and thought, "She sure has efficiency mastered!" I felt pangs of envy despite your crankiness. Hoping for some of the same encouragement, I clicked on your link. Imagine my surprise! Guess I needed the reminder.
